Hi, I’m 40, from Bangalore India where people are known to be flexible and accommodative. Living in Beijing for more than a year now have learnt some Mandarin, and traveled within. I love sports which is very instinctive to me and so does my family.
The Olympics is a great universal event and being part of it in some way will be a dream for anybody. I sincerely request your vote to me for becoming one of the torch bearers in the coming August 2008 Beijing Olympics! Thanks for your support.
China & I
When I was given an option of key postings in US, Japan or China, I chose to take up China for simple reasons that I had not done much business in China and second, I had continuously heard that China had a lot to offer in terms of deep culture, extreme beauty and growth. Having married for 13 years with two children, my wife and children proudly sprang up to the idea of living in China and being here for more than a year now we have enjoyed every bit.
Heading an R&D center for an American technology company in Beijing, I was pleased with the support given to us by the Government establishments and Foreign enterprise bodies. Not to forget our employees in the company. As a head it is my constant endeavor that the employees of our China center have the ability to reach out to the technology pool in our Global Technology centers. Many Chinese employees have been trained by our other centers for technology and leadership development.
As a whole, for the above activities you need to well position not only your center but also China as a whole in terms of technical skills available, University education, engineer commitment, apart from other indirect things such as speed of development, availability of manpower, market, etc. Most noticeable to me is the advance in Education, Health care & Infrastructure. This has earned me a name ‘China Man’ in the Organization. As a result we have many people from all part of Aricent visiting our center for cooperation and eventually glorified by China…Great Wall, etc is obvious.
