I come from the place where this Immortal Spirit of Antiquity was born. Where, in 776 B.C. Thoughts, Lights, Dreams, Peace were visualized into an Ideal. I was lucky enough to sense this Ideal in 2004 when I participated as a volunteer in the Olympic Games held in my home country. One cannot express one¡¯s emotion, pulse and shudders stirring through the Olympic Ideal until after one wades in it. In 2008, the Olympic flame passes from Greece, a country of a rich historical background to China, a country of an amazing historical heritage.
In 2007, working ambition settled me down to Shanghai. Before so, China looked totally different, totally out of my custom and habits. Amazingly enough, Chinese and I seemed to have quite many similarities. From family bonds to philosophical thoughts, from King Wen¡¯s poems to Homer¡¯s poems, from Aristotle to Confucius there are, for sure, too many things to be discovered in this great country.
I will be honored if I manage to participate in 2008 Olympic Games and become a live link between Hellas¡¯ and China¡¯s Olympic Ideal!
